OUR SOCIETY
The aim and object of the Thanet Wine Appreciation Society (TWAS) is to enjoy wine in all its forms, and to learn more through meetings, presentations, visits and participation by the members.

A BRIEF HISTORY
The Society was established in 1974, when a small number of like-minded residents of Thanet began to meet together to enjoy their common interest in wine. Since then, the Society has grown in size and is now one of the largest wine societies in the country, with a current membership approaching 150.
OUR COMMITTEE
The Society is an unincorporated association, administered and run by an elected committee consisting of a Chairman, a Secretary and a Treasurer (officers of the Society), together with 5 - 6 additional Committee Members.
